According to a press release, there are around 1,90,000 seats are availale in 554 engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University and about 1,48,000 seats are likely to be filled through Anna University Counselling. For this it has been proposed to print about 2 lakh applications. And the applications will be issued from the second week of May and the sale will continue till May 31st.
Moreover, for the sale of applications about 58 centres have been selected and arrangements are also made by the Anna University to download the applications.
The proposed counseling schedule will be as follows
Vocational Branch ........at the end of June
General Counseling.......from 2nd week of July.
Last year, the counseling was conducted for about 35 days and the same number of days also will be earmarked for the counseling, this year also.
According to Anna University sources, the general counseling may begin on 9th July 2012.
