New Eligibility marks for engineering admission | eligibility marks
It is a favourable situation to all the candidates who have scored lesser marks in the PLUS TWO Examinations. Yes, the Government of Tamil Nadu has lowered the eligible marks for applying to the Anna University Counseling.
The new cut off marks are as follows:
Open Category 50 per cent (It was 55 per cent)
Backward Classes - 45 per cent (it was 50 per cent)
Most Backward Classes - 40 per cent (it was 45 per cent)
and
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes - 35 percent.
Because of the reduction of marks for eligibility for engineering admission, students, who have scored lesser marks would get benefited and their dream to become an engineer would be fulfilled.
The Education Minister of Government of Tamil Nadu has said that during the last year counselling there were 30000 seats were vacant and this year, due to the reduction of eligibility marks, all the seats would be filled up.
Our sincere request to all the candidates who have scored less marks, to study well in the engineering colleges and get placed well.
