New Colleges | New Engineering Colleges | counselling for new colleges.

Some more new Engineering Colleges have been included in the counselling programme and the Anna University,Chennai has published a list of new engineering colleges in their official website and the list says "New Engineering Colleges as on 1.8.2010": and you can view the list from the following link.

Candidates, who are appearing for the III and subsequent counselling programme have a chance to select these new colleges.

Anna University BE B.Tech application Forms

As already announced, Anna University, Chennai will be issuing application forms for admission to B.E. and B.Tech courses in various Government, Government aided and self financing engineering colleges from 3rd May 2010.

The cost of application will be Rs 500 and Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates.

The application forms will be sold in around 58 centres throughout Tamil Nadu and the details are available in the official website.

The application forms though purchased in a hurried manner, it can be filled in complete shape, once the plus two examination results and mark sheets are available. Hence, the students need not show any hurry in purchasing the application form.

Last Date for Issue of Application (In person) on 29.05.2010

Last Date for Applying through Online on 29.05.2010

Last Date for Submission of filled-in application 31.05.2010 (5.30 p.m.)

Candidates should be more careful in filling up the application and there are chances for rejection of application if not filled correctly.

What is Counselling ?

It is a simple way to get a seat in the desired college. All the Government, Government aided and self financing engineering colleges will participate in this program and students seeking admission in these colleges will be admitted through this counselling only.

Candidates seeking admission has to apply in the prescribed application form, to be issued by the Anna University, within the stipulated time frame.

Based on the cut off marks, students will be called for counseling and the students with high marks will have more chances to select the required college. In the first week, students will have more chances for selection. Students seeking admission in Government and Government aided engineering colleges will be required to pay lesser fees.

Counseling will be held only at Chennai Anna University's Counseling centre.

Students who come from outside the Chennai and new to Chennai, can reach Anna University either by City Bus or other means of transport. From Egmore railway station, 23C is the direct bus and fromCentral Railway station, they have to come to Saidapet Railway station and from there 5B is the direct bus. I have given here some simple routes only.
